Interview with Dylan from SPIKE TVs MURDER

935314525_l.jpgQ. Mark - RealityWanted.com: How did you get involved with the show?

A. Dylan - Murder: I actually kind of dig reality TV and think it has some sort social commentary. Before reality TV you didn’t see gay people, African American and Asians on primetime television. I think Reality TV pushed things in a new direction. As far as how I landed a spot on the show- one of my friends had a friend who said something about it and I sent in my information.

Q. Mark - RealityWanted.com: What was your crash course training like?

A. Dylan: They covered how to life finger printing. The guy told us to take a broad approach to things and not get too specific. We were told to look at everything. Ironically enough the broad approach is what helped us get so far as we did into cracking the case.

Q. Mark - RealityWanted.com: Talk to me about the re created crime scenes, how real did they look? Your teammate Emily seemed shook up when she first walked into the murder scene.

A. Dylan - Murder: My teammate Emily is a cool chick and it was great to get to know her. , The initial shock rattled her. It was kind of surreal. We had a great deal of information to process in a very short time span and I think all of us were a bit nervous.

Q. Mark - RealityWanted.com: What was it like to be on camera?

A. Dylan - Murder: For me, I didn’t even notice the cameras were there. At first you’re like hey I’m on camera but after awhile they seemed to disappear. I watched some other episodes and I don’t think people did what we did; we are very precise and covered the crime scene broadly.

Q. Mark - RealityWanted.com: You had thirty minutes to put your presentation together for Detective Tommy Le Noir. What was that like?

A. Dylan - Murder: The 3 of us knew so much. I felt like all 3 of us were very open. We all had had the same speed and same pace. I would have killed myself if I was on the other team. I loved my teammates. Each one of us took time to talk about our theory. We came up with some crazy scenarios, but we didn’t do was dismiss each other.

Q. Mark - RealityWanted.com Do you have a new outlook on police work and solving crimes?

A. Dylan - Murder: Absolutely. That’s a crazy job. I went to law school and I have seen the legal side of crime and punishment and thought that was very important. The stakes are high in this job. You can’t go to work and say, I’m just going to chill today. My whole thought process on cops and detective work has changed, you can’t go into that job half assed.

Q. Mark - RealityWanted.com: What did you walk away with after taking part in the show?

A. Dylan - Murder: For me the biggest thing was learning a lot of patience. It made me have more patient with other people. I could not have solved this crime without the other two people.

Q. Mark - RealityWanted.com: Would you do something like this on TV again?

A. Dylan - Murder: Totally, I loved it. My whole team had a really good time and I had an amazing experience.

Q. Mark - RealityWanted.com: Are you a fan of any reality shows?

A. Dylan - Murder: My favorite show is Big Brother. I was in a play with Eric’s girlfriend. I love The Ultimate Fighter series, Spike has done a great job making characters out of the cast.. I just love them all.

Q. Mark - RealityWanted.com: Do you have a MySpace site if fans would like to reach out to you?
