Cycle 9 interviews are a collection of questions and answers from a conference call that I participate in with the models. Enjoy…

Q: Being eliminated first, do you feel that you didn’t get a fair shake or a chance to really shine?

Mila: It all did happen very fast. I got the opportunity to do one photo shoot and one challenge. But it was the judges’ opinion that I should have gone first then that’s okay.

Q: From the short time that you were there, what do you feel was the one lesson that you learned?

Mila: During the photo shoot, it’s very important to convey an emotion and not just concentrate on how you look on the outside. On the smoking photo shoot, it was important to convey the tragedy of what happened after smoking, and the emotion of glamour for the beauty shot.

Q: The judges felt like you weren’t really taking in the things that they were telling you at panel. Were you really listening to them?

Mila: I was definitely listening to that. I was a little bit surprised when I heard them say that. I was definitely nodding my head and saying, “Okay, I understand”. Maybe the expression on my face, it was definitely blank, but I think that is because the whole situation was very stressful. And I was just trying to deal with it in my own way. But I was definitely listening to the judges’ criticisms and suggestions.

Q: Who are you rooting for to win?

Mila: I think all the girls are great, I hope they all do well?

Q: What are your thoughts of Heather being in the competition with her difficulty socializing?

Mila: On the show it seems very bad because it’s edited. Maybe her worst moments or most awkward moments. She was a normal person but she was a difficult person to get to know but once you did get to know her she was great.

Q: How much do you the fact that you didn’t take the challenge seriously contributed to you being kicked off?

Mila: I guess that was it. I guess the judges felt that I didn’t take the whole experience seriously. Maybe that I wasn’t listening to them in panel or that I didn’t listen to Miss J’s suggestions before we did go to Old Navy. Looking back, I guess I would have picked a different outfit.

Q: What do you think was so funny about the photo shoot to you, that you had so much trouble with giggling?

Mila: The photo shoot itself was not funny at all. It’s just that all the girls, we were all hanging out and we were all making each other laugh. Bianca and I were laughing. It wasn’t the photo shoot that I was laughing at. The make-up artists were cracking jokes. They didn’t show what was happening to make me laugh.

Q: If you could do the whole experience over again, what type of things that you would change?

Mila: I would probably dress differently. I wouldn’t wear so many dresses

Q: What sort of modeling do you have in you future?

Mila: I don’t know we will see what comes up. I hope to figure out what I am doing here.

JACKIE: Upon your departure, you said that you thought you would be the winner. Who do you think should have gone home first instead of you?

Mila: I really don’t know. I don’t think I could ever place myself in the position of the judges where they decide who would go home, so I don’t know.

JACKIE: Some of the girls were being ‘ugly’ toward Heather. What do you think of that and did it continue? Or did they ever warm up to her?

Mila: I think that when people come across a person or condition that they have never dealt with before, that is just what happens. I hope that the girls do warm up to her eventually because once you get to know her, she is a great girl.

JACKIE: Were there any secret scenes or any fun juicy details that we were not shown on TV?

Mila: I think they did a good job of portraying what happened as far as drama goes. Bianca was running around the house she ran into a glass door. Her make-up left a mark on it, it was hilarious.

JACKIE: Do you have any last words or shout outs to any of your fans?

Mila: Thanks for watching. It’s a great show, keep on watching it.

Q: Tell us about your audition process, how did that come about and what was it like for you?

Mila: I didn’t ever want to audition. I met one of the casting agents when I was out one night. I met the main casting director and got past and the rest is history I guess.

Q: Did you have previous modeling experience before this?

Mila: I did, when I was younger, I did some modeling when I was in Boston.

Q: What made you stand out from everyone else?

Mila: Looks or personality wise?

Q: Mostly characteristics? What do you feel made you stand out?

Mila: I think what made me stand out is that I am Eastern European and I think that is a good look in the modeling industry.

Q: You really bounded onto the scene extremely bubbly. Do you think that was kind of a negative for you?

Mila: I read some of the message boards and people were saying, “How can a person be that happy?” I guess a lot of people did react negatively, but a lot of people did react positively. When my friends watched it, they were like, “oh you are so great and positive”. I surround myself with positive people.

Q: I have an unconventional question for you. What is your favorite drug store beauty secret?

Mila: I think it’s really important to have great skin. My face wash, I absolutely love it. It’s Neutrogena Clean and Clear. I think it is the greatest thing ever.

Q: What is your favorite reality TV show?

Mila: Definitely “The Hills” on MTV.
