Interview with Hillary from The Bachelor

Hillary is one of the contestants on Season 11 of ABC’s “The Bachelor” that was recently eliminated. Hillary is a nurse from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and is 27 years old looking for love. We recently had an opportunity to join a conference call where Hillary spoke about her time on The Bachelor.

Reporter: Are you normally an emotional person?

Hillary, The Bachelor: I wear my emotions on my sleeve but I think everything that was going on pushed me to be more emotional. Rejection is hard to take and with the stress of the cameras anyone would have a hard time.

Reporter: Were you there for the right reasons? Were you hoping to find love?

Hillary, The Bachelor: I was hoping for love. Brad is a great catch and I really enjoyed spending time with him. I went on the show hoping to find my soulmate. I didn’t work out but I enjoyed my time on the show.

Reporter: Do you still feel chemistry between you and Brad?

Hillary, The Bachelor: I think of Brad as a friend now. He is a great guy and I enjoyed getting to know him. I would be fine being his friend, yes I did think we had a connection but obviously the two of us were not on the same page. I think Jenny and Brad have strong chemistry together as well.

Reporter: Why do you think you had a hard time understanding Brad and his feelings?

Hillary, The Bachelor: I really didn’t get a clear picture about him just wanting to be friends. I wish he would have been more blunt. Instead when he spoke about friendship and a bond we had I thought he meant something different.

Reporter: How did you end up getting on the show?

Hillary, The Bachelor: One of my best friends told me to go try out for the show. So I went to some interviews and ended up on the show.

Reporter: How did you feel after you watched yourself on the show?

Hillary, The Bachelor: I know in real circumstances I would have acted differently but with everything that was going on (and my dress was 2 sizes too small so I could breathe properly) I got caught up in the moment. After I watched the show I did feel bad and embarrassed but I chalk it up as a great experience and I got the friend card.

Reporter: Are you dating?

Hillary, The Bachelor: Currently I am taking time for myself. I am focusing on work and family for now and if something comes my way then I will take a look at it but I am not actively searching.

Reporter: Have you heard from any old boyfriends?

Hillary, The Bachelor: Yeah it was pretty funny, I started hearing from a lot of old boyfriends and they were asking me “Were you on The Bachelor”. They wanted to know why I did it etc.
