Interview With John and Natalie From The CWs Beauty And The Geek

Once I again I caught up with the latest team eliminated from Beauty And The Geek. John and Natalie were the latest to get the boot. There wasn’t an elimination challenge this go around. Since Sam won one challenge and Dave won the other they, along with their partners, had to unanimously pick a team for removal. They sent John and Natalie packing.

Q. Mark – RealityWanted.com: What got you interested in applying for Beauty and The Geek? Did you guys watch any prior seasons?A. John - Beauty And The Geek: I watched the entire 3rd season with friends. I also had a friend who went through the audition process for Beauty and The Geek and suggested I try it out.

A. Natalie - Beauty And The Geek: I was working at Hooters one day when some people in casting approached me and asked me to apply. I like geeks, I think guys in glasses are attractive and I thought I might meet someone on the show.

Q. Mark: Talk to me about day one when you arrived at the mansion you met the geeks and beauties for the first time.

A. John - Beauty And The Geek: I was very nervous when we first arrived. During the first night in the mansion we were all hanging out in the hot tub and I started to realize the girls were all very cool and down to earth. My nervousness stopped since they made it very comfortable

A. Natalie - Beauty And The Geek: When Mike had the geeks come in one at a time to introduce themselves I felt like I was at an improve comedy show. All the different talents such as: shooting rubber bands, juggling, and larping were crazy. Q. Mark – RealityWanted.com : John I hear you laughing in the background while Natalie was talking about the “comedy show”.

A. John - Beauty And The Geek: Yea, it’s funny since I haven’t heard her talk about it like this. It’s so true, I bet it looked like a comedy skit.

Q. Mark – RealityWanted.com : Have you guys tried larping?

A. John - Beauty And The Geek: I have never tried it before but I have heard of people doing it. Dave did invite me to try it out when we are both back in Boston.

A. Natalie - Beauty And The Geek: I have done improv type work but nothing like larping.

Q. Mark – RealityWanted.com: Let’s talk about Sam and Nicole. You guys wanted revenge on them. Do you think they had unfair advantage?

A. John - Beauty And The Geek: First off Sam and Nicole made a very strong team. They also picked off teams that were very close to us and we assumed we were next. I really liked Nicole, she reminds me of some of my friends. It’s hard for me to figure out why Sam was there since he didn’t seem to portray any vulnerability. For example the geeks were there to work on their shyness and appearance. The beauties were there to work on intellect and show people there is more to than just looks to them. I don’t know why Sam was there.

A. Natalie - Beauty And The Geek: I was the one who said we wanted revenge on Sam and Nicole. I didn’t want Sam and Nicole there from the get go. I was very unhappy after they eliminated Holly and Josh. I don’t think Sam came on the show to change anything about himself besides his income.

Q. Mark – RealityWanted.com: There is no doubt; Sam had an advantage on the challenges. What did you guys think?

A. Natalie - Beauty And The Geek: Sam had an upper hand on the challenges. Sam is very comfortable in front of the camera and an audience.

A. John - Beauty And The Geek: We may have had better chance if they were not there.

Q. Mark – RealityWanted.com: Ok Natalie, I think I know the answer to this but was there any real attraction to Sam or was it all game play?

A. Natalie - Beauty And The Geek: It was all game play. There was no attraction to Sam. I won’t lie, he can be a fun person to hang out with. I don’t have hate for him, I was trying to strategically keep John and I around longer. We were the two strongest teams on the show. I didn’t think it was the best time for me to talk to Sam about strategy when I did. I was a bit intoxicated and I had consumed a good amount of alcohol when I talked to him.

Q. Mark – RealityWanted.com: What about Will vs. Jen. Is he holding too much from the past and unfairly pre judging her?

A. Natalie - Beauty And The Geek: I wasn’t there when they were fighting but I think he was being unfair. I don’t know how they get along when the cameras aren’t around. The show is making Will look like the biggest jerk. We didn’t know it was that big a deal until we all got to Mexico.
A. John - Beauty And The Geek: I never talked to Will about his experience in high school and how it may have affected him, but I think he was the largest cause of their issues. I think Jen was still trying to work on things but she was getting frustrated since Will would not try.

Q. Mark – RealityWanted.com: John how did it feel for everyone at the prom to not know why you were a geek?

A. John - Beauty And The Geek: When people didn’t know I was part of geek group I was shocked and very surprised.

Q. Mark: RealityWanted.com: Natalie what did you think of Johns makeover?

A. Natalie - Beauty And The Geek: I was so shocked and stunned at how great he looked.

Q. Mark – RealityWanted.com: So John, you had a new look and style after the makeover. Many of the ladies were impressed at your change. Did you have your eye on any of the beauties?

A. John - Beauty And The Geek: I was attracted to Erin. As I got to know her more she turned out to be such a great girl.

Q. Mark – RealityWanted.com: Well I know we are getting close to our time limit. Did you guys want to get anything of your chest about the show?

A. Natalie - Beauty And The Geek: I would like to tell Nicole that ever since the first show I wanted her and Sam eliminated. After watching her defend John and I on last nights show I was very shocked and I want to thank her.

A. John - Beauty And The Geek: That was very impressive and I would want to say I have no hard feelings with the cast and want to stay in touch after show. It was disappointing to go out how we did but we had a good run.
