Biggest Loser - Episode #12 “No More Nicole - Now Only Five”

One more week, one more player eliminated and The Biggest Loser Season 4 will have its FINAL four. This week, contestants knew every pound would count. Blue Team Neil barely escaped being in the bottom two last week with just a one pound difference on the scale between Bryan and him. Bryan got sent packing, taking the Red Team’s chances of being in the finale, or the rest of the game for that matter, with him. Red Team Trainer Kim Lyons walked into B’s room expecting it to be empty. Instead of Bryan, a large TV greeted her with a tearful message from the last hope she had to keep herself on the BL Campus.

The six contestants left standing – two original Blue Team Members and four Black have lost 1,064 pounds since joining the weight loss show 12-weeks ago. Blue Team Trainer Bob Harper and Black Team Trainer Jillian Michaels hopped into bed with their remaining team members, a sweet little wake-up call to get them ready for the real world, and work! First, an efficient and intense morning work-out, followed by meal and snack preparations for the day. The trainers wanted to show their teams how to make their weight loss efforts work once they’re back home in two-weeks, back into the real world where it’s not all gym equipment, healthy food and trainers barking at them all day to keep them in line.

Off to the pizzeria. The half-dozen left, submerged into a restaurant to work for the day, surrounding by melting cheese and tasty sauces, all topped on yummy crust! But, they got through it like champions. Hoping to rest upon their return after an eight-hour work day, Jillian and Bob pop out of the woodwork once again, for yet another workout before the next day’s challenge. One could almost guess it would have something to do with boxing, since that was the focus of their workouts … jabs, cuts, crosses and kicks (sound familiar Steve Pfister Pfans?!) The six saunter into an airplane hangar the next day, very reminiscent of “An Officer and a Gentleman” when Louis Gossett, Jr. kicks Richard Gere’s ass on the mat! 80s film fans? Anyone, anyone? Bueller? Frye? LOL I crack myself up.

This week’s challenge: use a trampoline to jump up and hit a punching bag as many times as possible. The contestant with the least number of hits gets eliminated each round till one remains. EACH ROUND, the punching bag is raised a little higher. Black Team Bill and Hollie were both a bit concerned about this challenge because of knee and ankle trouble respectively. In the end, however, Hollie snagged the reward: a one pound loss pass at the next weigh-in. Hollie’s height helped her out in this one. And, as Bob AND Jillian mentioned, SHE was the one who needed it most since her numbers at the scale are always so low.

This week’s weigh-in wasn’t as much of a shocker as it was a fate sealer. Here’s how it went in order of who stepped on the scale first to last:
Hollie: 255/201/196 – lost five pounds, plus a one pound pass for 6 pounds at 2.99%
Julie: 218/171/168 – lost three pounds at 1.75%
Bill: 344/222/213 – lost an amazing nine pounds at 4.05%
Neil: 421/298/288 – lost 10 pounds at 3.36% making him the person to lose the most weight on The Biggest Loser before going home at 133 pounds. That exceeded Season Three’s Finale Champ Erik, who held the record at a 124 pound loss!
Isabeau: 298/230/225 – lost five pounds at 2.17%
Nicole: 279/212/211 – lost only one pound at .47%

As the numbers show, Julie was already in the bottom two before Isabeau and Nicole weighed-in. Isabeau was in jeopardy of being up against her teammate at elimination until Nicole stepped onto the scale and shocked the players with such a small loss. Both Isabeau and Julie showed clear signs of relief, knowing Nicole would be the next one to go home. So did everyone else. The Black Team has the majority vote. Like Jillian said, “you do the math!”

Nicole said she had the best time of her life and came to the BL Campus to “lose the most weight that” she could. Well, she got a GREAT start. To date, Nicole has lost an astonishing 91 pounds from 279 to 188 and looks FANTABULOUS. The part-time DJ from Philly says next time we see her, she’ll be “one hot, sexy bitch.” GIRLFRIEND, you already are! Congratulations!

Next week:
FIVE REMAINING PLAYERS COMPETE FOR SPOT ON FINALE – The stakes have never been higher as the five remaining contestants fight for a spot in next week’s “Biggest Loser” finale. In their last challenge, the contestants take a ride down memory lane to see how far they’ve come in their 14 weeks on campus. Then one more contestant will be sent home – and “The Biggest Loser” finalists will be revealed.
