ANTM, now eight seasons strong is still on top of the reality television game. High profile entertainment pro’s, half naked hotties and crazy competitions keep us coming back for more. Not to mention keeping current on fashion and the modeling industry! The new clad include some true tenderoni’s and a few who I guarantee will bring on some bitchy brawls!

I’ll talk to each girl upon their elimination so be sure to check back for their interview. Hit me up if you have a question suggestion!

The two hour premiere pops off with 32 model hopefuls arriving at a military boot camp. Judges Jay Manuel and J. Alexander portray fab drill sergenats who address the girls as model maggots. Quizzes on fashion, a wardrobe change and impromptu poses are a few of the demanded tasks.

Ms. Tyra Banks makes her entrance with a step team. She preps the ladies with a pep talk and steps her way out. Next the girls approach the bench in the casting room. Tyra and the J’s interview each girl to determine who moves on to the next round.

The first cuts are made and 33 gals dwindle down to 20. The gals head out to a Hollywood hotspot. They converse with VIP’s such as Johnta Austin (song writer), Jermaine Dupri (music producer) and Marc Ecko (fashion designer). As they mingle, a photographer snaps candid shots of the ladies.Back at the telly, Tyra and the J’s review the candid party shots and choose the 13 finalists. Tyra announces the news and the winners go nuts. Naturally, the eliminated are heart broken but the show must go on. I now introduce the 13 competing ladies along with pics from their first photo shoot where they represented political statements.Brittany, age 21 is a bartender from Savannah, Georgia. She states that her biggest insecurity is her volume level…aka loud mouth. I think she’s cute but in person she could use a little finesse.

“Pro Fur”

Cassandra, age 24 is a college student from Seattle, Washington. She is clowned by the judges for having a wig sewn into the back of her head. Cassandra comes off as a confident cutie with a likable persona.
“Loves to eat meat”

Diana, age 21 is a college student from Garfield, New Jersey. She’s one of two plus sized models competing this Cycle. She sobs about being ridiculed by her father for her weight. Diana comes off as a humble, laid back kind of girl.
“Pro gun”

Dionne, age 20 is a college student from Montgomery, Alabama. Her two passions in life are dentistry and modeling. Dionne didn’t get much air time so my judgment is postponed.

“Vegan”

Felicia, age 19 is a sales associate from Houston, Texas. The other girls immediately coined her as “Baby Tyra”. I think Felicia is one of the finest females of the group.

“Straight marriage”

Jael, age 22 is a band manager from Detroit, Michigan. She is the odd ball out with a raspy voice and wild personality. Believe it or not, she is biracial (black and white). There is already talk about Jael not taking the competition seriously and having too much fun being everybody’s friend. Jael has a distinct and attractive appearance but in person does not exude poise.

“Pro life”

Jaslene, age 20 is an online college admissions advisor from Chicago, Illinois. She didn’t make the final cut in Cycle 7 but is now back and better than ever. Jaslene is gorgeous with an outstanding personality. I just might put my money on her.

“Death penalty”

Kathleen, age 20 is a hair stylist from Brooklyn, New York. She’s a fun girl with a cute but drawn out accent. A bit of a loud and proud go-getter that sports one ugly head of hair.

“Anti-fur”

Natasha, age 21 is a college student from Dallas, Texas. She was born in Russia and made it to the U.S.A. with her 40 year old husband. Miss J boldly asked her if she was a mail order bride. Natasha is interesting and will definitely be one to bring the drama. She is from a different world both litterally and figuratively. She immediately clashes with some of the others. Natasha’s beauty may only take her so far because during her shoots she is all over the place.

“Pro choice”

Renee, age 20, is a stay at home mom from Maui, Hawaii. She’s a married woman with quite a flat stomach for having a 7 month old son. She admits she’s outspoken and catty and we see her live up to those very words. Renee is shown making smart remarks and speaking out often…too often.

“Anti-gun”

Samantha, age 19, is a sales associate from Pinson, Alabama. The judges suggest she put a butter bean in place of her missing tooth. She made known to all that the tooth’s absence was her biggest insecurity. I don’t feel a “wow factor” coming from Samantha so we have yet to see what she’s working with.

“Gay marriage”

Sarah, age 20 is photographer from Lake Zurich, Illinois. Sarah is going to be one of the last girls standing. At 20, she been a model, actress and is a professional photographer. So far she proves to be the most experienced and knowledgeable in the fashion industry. Therefore, the other girls will hate and we will get front row seats to the battles in store.

“Believes in life in prison”

Whitney, age 21 is college student from West Palm Beach, Florida. She is one of the plus sized models. Her bright smile and bushy tail personality send my votes Whitney’s way.

“Gay marriage”

My life as a Cover Girl commercial starred sweet and sexy CariDee (Cycle 7 winner). As the past winners do, she’s pushin’ the latest and greatest Cover Girl product. Which she does quite well!

After the shoot the girls are introduced to their stretch SUV limo and phat mansion home. The house is plastered with pics of previous Top Model winners.

Tyra Mail, “One woman’s trash is another woman’s treasure.” This leads the girls to a Goodwill store. Miss J. joined by Phillip Bloch (stylist to the stars) announces the first challenge.

Given only 3 minutes the ladies must find their “best look” from the store of used clothing. Following the race, the ladies are led out the front door and on to a runway. A charity fashion show pops off and the girl’s outfits are sold to the highest bidder. The outfit that collected the most cash belonged to Jael. This led to her being the first winner of a challenge!

Jael models thrift store threads

Back at the crib Tyra Mail is read. “Tomorrow you will have your first meeting with the judges. Only 12 of you will continue on with the hopes of becoming America’s Next Top Model.”
Panel time. Photo shoot pictures are reviewed and the girls get critiqued by the judges. The girls go out, the judge’s judge and the ladies are led back in. Names are called and Jael and Kathleen stand as the bottom two. Jael is handed a photo and Tyra tells Kathleen that she lost the map and has no direction.

Kathleen is shocked and expresses her sorrow. She says that she’s going to go home and work hard. She is motivated by the fact that Tyra saw her potential.

The winner of America’s Next Top Model will be managed by Elite Model Management, a $100,000 contract with CoverGirl cosmetics and will appear on get a cover and spread in “Seventeen” magazine.
