Tyra Mail – “Babies learn how to do it, can you?”

Besides pretty pictures we always get issues in the house to entertain us.  The personal issues highlighted are the fact that sweet, home town Alabama Samantha doesn’t feel that she fits in.  Jaslene is a threat to her competitors due to her praised performance and high self confidence.  Russian born Natasha continues to struggle with…everything.

This week’s fun and fashion begins on a high school football field.  Miss J. gives the girls walking lessons accompanied by his usual wise cracks.  He has them strut in sets of three in attempt to teach a routine for the catwalk.

The next stop is gym class where they meet fashion show producer, Roy Campbell.  He announces the challenge to be a prom themed runway show.  Attendees will be the actual students of the high school.  Show time!  The first prom dresses modeled were “modern contemporary”.  Most of the ladies did well for beginners.  The “80’s” prom dresses were flossed next, which was an entertaining blast from the past.  Both Roy and I noticed that Natasha (Russian chic) was a bit “off”.

GHETTO FABULOUS

 

Finally the walk worth watching began as the ladies wore “Ghetto Fabulous” gowns.  The dresses were skimpy and tacky which led to Sarah’s breasts popping out for all the little kiddies to see.  Jael said she was happy to have been next to Sarah as she had this “liberating experience”.  Sarah seemed to like it too.

After the show, Roy gives the ladies their report card.  Natasha wasn’t aware of the other girls’ positions and Samantha could have added some flavor.  Sarah should have covered her exposed breasts!  Renee got “lost in the shuffle and lagged in the choreography”.  Brittany got praise for having the best presence.  Jaslene was shocked to hear that Roy felt that she was lost and unsure of herself.

Brittany won the runway challenge and got gypped.  Her prize was a huge trophy with a stiletto on top.  What happened to the shopping sprees and fine dining?

Back at the house, top model tension arises.  Chatter is made about Jaslene being disappointed to be bumped off her pedestal.  Jaslene confronts Felicia and others which results in a petty exchange of words that Jaslene ends with, “Dumb ass”!

Later Jaslene cried on the phone to momma.  A few girls can see her from the backyard and suddenly claim to feel bad.  Renee simply boasted that she was right about the chance of the girls being friends being slim.

English challenged Natasha read the following Tyra Mail, “I am so glad we are BFF’s.  Good luck in all you do and don’t forget to KIT.”  Her fellow fashionista’s had to interpret the acronyms.

Back to school again now with Mr. Jay at the head of the class.  The photo shoot circulates around high school clichés.

 

Jael was assigned “book worm”.  She portrayed the title well and Jay was impressed.

 

Sarah has the knowledge (day job as pro photographer) but over analyzes her poses (per Jay) as the “class flirt”.

 

Jay felt that Cassandra was dull in her rendering of a cheerleader.

 

During Renee’s shoot she was irritated that Sarah and Jael were watching.  She struggled with playing the class clown and Jay said she was painful to watch.

 

Samantha comments that her photo shoots have been uncomfortable as a lesbian and now hoe.  Gee Sam, no one is trying to turn you out.  It’s just a picture!  She couldn’t get the “hoe” look down to save her life.  Jay said, “Put your hands on your thighs and pretend you’re totally involved with your pussy.”  I just love Jay Manuel.  Samantha later interviewed that she doesn’t use such a word and Jay’s use of it totally threw her off beat.  Meanwhile Renee (major hater) is on the sideline crying about how she could have been sexier than Samantha.

 

Brittany gets all props from Jay and he later interviews that she “looks like a model.”

 

Whitney plays a great mean girl.  Both in my and Jay’s opinion, she could have done better.

 

Diana was “aight” at playing the student body president.

 

Jay credited Felicia’s dance training for her graceful portrayal as the “school jock”.

 

Jaslene stated that she wasn’t watching the other girls photo shoots because they can learn from her!  To back that statement she acted out the “weirdo” cliché perfectly.  Jay was overly impressed.  Wanna-be hard ass Renee is now crying with the complaint that Jaslene always gets the “fierce” assignments.  Note:  This is only the 2^nd photo shoot.

 

Poor Natasha doesn’t understand the concept teachers pet and Jay says that she really doesn’t understand modeling.  Her photo shoot is very frustrating for her which sends her off in tears.

 

Dionne is the ultimate bad girl!

Half naked Jael reads the Tyra mail,  “Tomorrow you will meet with the judges only 11 will continue on with the hopes of becoming America’s Next Top Model”

Panel time.

The models approach the bench as the judges make remarks on this week’s photos.  Nigel liked Sarah’s flirty pic, but of course twiggy thought it was too sexy.  The judges thought that Cassandra the cheerleader looked bored.  Twiggy said that Brittany has a timeless face.  It was obvious that Samantha’s didn’t get the swing of posing with a bad reputation.  The judges were in favor of Jael, Felicia, Jaslene, Diana, Dionne and Renee’s photos.  They felt Whitney could be more extreme.

Jay reported that shooting Natasha as a teacher’s pet was the hardest photo shoot in top model history.  Even worse than Ann in Cycle 3.  Natasha’s rebuttal is that she remembers Ann and that she was one of the most beautiful girls.  The judges are tickled by the fact that Natasha was oblivious to the negative critique.

The girls go out, judge’s judge and the ladies are led back in.  Names are called and Samantha and Natasha are in the bottom two.

Tyra says that Samantha takes beautiful pictures but doesn’t seem ready to take the bull by the horn.  She adds that Natasha can’t seem to translate her gorgeous face into a photo.  

Natasha is handed her picture and Samantha gets her boarding pass.

Samantha last words express that she’s not very outgoing and is just a simple because that’s how she was raised.

The CoverGirl of the week is Jaslene!!!  (My favorite so far)
