This cycle’s makeovers are introduced by Tyra Mail, “We made only one cut last night, but a few of you we’ll cut tomorrow.”
At the break of dawn the girls arrive at Salon Sessions Studio. J. Alexander, Jay Manuel and stylist Neeko greet the gals. Tyra shows up in rollers and pj’s to dish out the scoop on the new dos. Brittany said that she will not be upset regardless of what kind of cut she gets. Right away, I knew this meant she’d be the least cooperative.

Most of the makeovers went smoothly. As expected, Brittany fusses about her weave causing her pain. Jael went through a lot of fuss in order to get long brown weave put in. But Tyra changed her mind and reversed the 8 hours of work just to cut Jael’s hair shorter. Photo shoots followed and here are the finished products!
Back at the house there is a lot of fussing and crying from Brittany. Finally Whitney gives her a talking to that basically suggests that she “man up!” Manning up is exactly what Jael had to do after she received bad news from home. A close friend of hers died from a drug overdose. Jael expresses her sorrow but still keeps her head up and eyes on the prize.
Tyra mail – “For those of you who didn’t make the cut, you have one more chance to make it up to me”.
For some reason Brittany is sick…and crying. CoverGirl makeup artist Roxanna Floyd and “Seventeen’s” Entertainment Director, Carissa Rosenberg meet the ladies in a garden to imply the “fresh” theme of the challenge. Tables were spread through out the garden and the gals had to apply the makeup from each one.
The object was to create a light, colorful look using CoverGirl products. The gals get dolled up in pretty Spring dresses. They get 10 minutes to do so and all the girls made it back in time except for Cassandra. She’s such a sweetie so it was rather sad. Cass was disqualified and Brittany was the winner. She chose Sarah and Jael to being photographed for a spread in Seventeen magazine. Brittany talks as though she has food in her mouth.
The photo shoot of the week is to floss hair accessories. Joseph Cultice is the famous photographer for the day. The ladies are posing as desserts, therefore will be nude! Guess who’s got issues? Brittany.
Back at the house Renee is running her mouth and Brittany confronts her. Renee actually said it was even wrong of Brittany to address her. Obviously talking hella shit on people is apparently normal and cool to Renee. Renee snips that Brittany acts like she is in high school. Brittany finally does more than cry and shouts “I’m still kicking your ass in this competition”. Renee simply slips her hand back out of the house and gives Brittany the bird.

Tyra mail, “Tomorrow you will meet w/ judges, only 10 of you will continue with hopes of becoming America’s Next Top Model.
Panel time. During individual evaluations, Jael was given props for engaging the camera. The judges also felt that her ethnicity could be seen in the pic. Natasha once again let the judges “so-so” comments fly over her head and simply stated that she loved her picture and thought it was the best so far.
Felicia was told she had a breathtaking picture but looked “too video” in person. The judges told Whitney that her photo as chocolate kisses was good, but that she looked uncomfortable in the face.
Brittany fusses about her weave hurting her head, she tears up for some reason, but gets outstanding review for her banana split photo.
The judges fell silent when looking at Cassandra’s photo. They said that she looked like she lost her neck in it. They thought Renee’s eyes were “off” but gave kudos to Dionne for finding the fun in being a candy cane.
The photographer reported that Diana seemed uncomfortable with herself. Tyra suggested Diana try self reflection. Sarah got the “fierce intense eye” down pact and the judges were lovin it as well as Jaslene’s.
The girls go out, the judge’s judge and the ladies are led back in. Photos are given to each model except for Diana and Cassandra. Tyra thinks that Diana feel should stand out more strongly. She says that Cassandra has a great personality but she doesn’t see it in photo. Diana gets picked and Cassandra gets kicked…to the curb.
Cassandra says that she’ll miss the girls and is disappointed to have left so early in the game. She wishes that she had displayed more confidence but is still more appreciate of what she did get.
