Interview with Maria from NBCs Age of Love

Today I had the chance to sit down and speak with Maria from NBC’s Age of Love. Maria is a 42 year old photographer from Playa Del Ray CA and eliminated herself last night on NBC’s AGE OF LOVE.

Jason (RealityWanted.com): How did you get involved in the show?
Maria (Age of Love): My girlfriend told me about it. I thought it was a show about women in their 40’s and 50’s, I didn’t know they were going to throw in a bunch of 20 year olds.

Jason: What did you think about the age difference?
Maria (Age of Love): I don’t have a problem dating younger guys, they always have more energy and typically are more fun. Mark had a lot of great qualities but the way the show was set up he had a hard time paying attention to the girls individually.

Jason (RealityWanted.com): After one episode did you have feelings for Mark?
Maria (Age of Love): I think I was “in like” with Mark. I got it early on that he liked younger women but that really didn’t bother me. There’s “no competition in love”.

Jason (RealityWanted.com): What did you think about the other girls? Were they easy to get along with? Was there friction between the girls?
Maria (Age of Love): I met some great girls. Lynn was great she is a very deep person. She’s delicious….I just love her.

Jason (RealityWanted.com): Would you do anything different on the show if you could do it again?
Maria (Age of Love): Yeah…I think I would have. I forgot I wasn’t in the presence of the girls I normally hang out with. I probably wouldn’t have revealed so much about myself to Mark and the other women. I probably won’t do any more reality shows unless it’s Dancing with the Stars.

Jason (RealityWanted.com): What’s next for you? Are you going back to your job?
Maria (Age of Love): Well I am a photographer so I going to continue doing that but I am going on holiday at the end of the month for a little bit.

Jason (RealityWanted.com): Do you watch much Reality TV?
Maria (Age of Love): I actually do not watch much TV in general. Though I am watching Age of Love. I try to spend my time doing hobbies I enjoy like Frisbee, fire spinning and I also sing in a choir.

Jason (RealityWanted.com): How did you feel after your confrontation during the campfire?
Maria (Age of Love): Lets just say there was some interesting editing. I think the girls got what I was saying, I am in for women and I do not think we should laugh at eachother or say rude things.

Jason (RealityWanted.com): What are your thoughts on Jayanna?
Maria (Age of Love): I like Jayanna, but I was shocked about the conversations that were going on, I expected more from a woman in her 40’s.

Jason (RealityWanted.com): How about some dating tips for our readers?
Maria (Age of Love): I suggest that you follow your instincts and if it isn’t a good match move on. Go “Next” if he is not playful. Also I recommend to kiss him right away and if he isn’t a good kisser get rid of him.

Jason (RealityWanted.com): Why did you go back and forth on staying on the show?
Maria (Age of Love): Mark is very hot and cold. When I communicated there were some issues I really needed him to step up. There are always two sides to every story but both parties need to feel the same about eachother.
