Q. Mark RealityWanted.com: What originally got you involved in MMA?

A. Ben Saunders, The Ultimate Fighter: I have been doing martial arts since I was 8 years old and I have always been a huge fan of Bruce Lee. I was training in MMA from the start and in 1993 when I was 10 years old I watched the first UFC PPV fights. When I watched it, it blew my mind it was the first competition I saw and at that point I realized what kind of sport I was in and at age 10 I knew it was what I wanted to do.

A. John Kolosci, The Ultimate Fighter: When I was 27 I was still getting into a lot of street fights and I wanted a way to channel that negative energy into something else. I felt too intelligent for street fights so I sought out something to do after work. I got into Ju Jitsu, started meeting MMA guys, started training with them, and then started fighting at local venues.

A. Blake Bowman, The Ultimate Fighter: It started out when I really wanted something to do. I was a fan and wanted to try out for MMA. I found a gym and started training. I had a fightand got the shit kicked out of me. I took a step back and evaluated my life. I was drinking whiskey and smoking cigarettes. I could have stuck with that party life style but MMA made me happy.

Interview With Ultimate Fighter Contestant Dorian Price

Dorian is a Mixed Martial Artist with an 8 – 2 record hailing from Baltimore, MD .and training in Cincinnati OH. Dorian was the second fighter to be eliminated on this season of Spike TV’s The Ultimate Fighter. When I started talking to Dorian I was surprised to find out that he was in the North East now training with Matt Serra.

The Ultimate Fighter Is Back - Serra vs Hughes

images1.jpgUFC(r) Welterweight Champion Matt Serra and former UFC Welterweight Champion Matt Hughes will serve as coaches for Season 6 of Spike TV’s highly-rated series, “The Ultimate Fighter(r),” premiering Wednesday, September 19 at 11:00pm ET/PT.

“The Ultimate Fighter: Team Serra vs. Team Hughes” features sixteen of the best up-and-coming mixed martial artists in the 170 lb. division from around the world. The two finalists will square off in a live finale in December, with the winner netting a six figure contract with the Ultimate Fighting Championship(r), the premier mixed martial arts organization in the world. The series recently wrapped production in Las Vegas. Hughes and Serra will fight each other in a UFC pay-per-view event after the series finale in December. The series will assume its regular timeslot of Wednesdays at 10pm on September 26.

A. Matt Wiman – They called me and asked if I would send in a video to see if I had the personality for the show,since they knew I could fight because I fought in UFC 60. I flew out and they said they wanted me on the show.

A. Brandon Melendez –One of my buddies wanted to try out in Florida and convinced me to go and try out with him. He told me to fill out an application so we could do it together; so I filled it out, tried out, and here I am. Q. Mark: Did your buddy make it on the show? A. Brandon Melendez: No, my friend did not make it. I was bummed I made it and he didn’t. He had high hopes and I felt bad.
