Marie Osmond Will Stay On Dancing With The Stars

Despite the loss of her father early this week Marie Osmond refuses to quit the dance competition. The 90 year old George Osmond is to believed to have died by natural causes at his Provo Utah home. Osmond did miss Tuesday nights results show but ABC publicist Amy Wolfe said Marie will be back on the show.

The third couple will be dismissed on “Dancing with the Stars the Results Show,” TUESDAY, OCTOBER 9 (9:00-10:02 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. Grammy winner Seal serenades the audience with his sultry voice, singing his hit song, “Kiss from a Rose.” He’ll also treat viewers to a performance of his latest single, “Amazing,” from his new album, “System,” on sale November 13.

In a “Dancing with the Stars” first, twelve celebrities - six men and six women — attempt to outshine one another on a fifth season of the hit series, which returns MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 24 (8:00-9:30 p.m., ET) on ABC. This marks the largest cast assembled to date. It includes an Emmy Award-winning actress, a Vegas icon, an Indy 500 champion, a Spice Girl, a daytime soap star, a Cheetah Girl and a former resident of “90210.” As an added twist, viewers get a chance to size up the male vs. the female stars, as each gender hits the dance floor on separate nights during the first week of competition. The women will strut their stuff on Monday night, while the men show off their moves TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25 (8:00-9:30 p.m., ET). One couple’s fate will be determined the following night, WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 26 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on “Dancing with the Stars the Results Show.” Can the women outperform the men, or will the men dance circles around the women?

The seventh couple will be dismissed on “Dancing with the Stars the Results Show,” TUESDAY, MAY 8 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. Singing sensation Nelly Furtado hits the dance floor, performing two songs — “All Good Things,” from her latest album, “Loose,” and her hit single, “I’m Like a Bird,” from her freshman album “Whoa Nelly!” She will be accompanied by 2006 World Rhythm champions Tony Dovolani & Elena Grinenko and professional dancers Louis van Amstel & Cheryl Burke. Viewers will also get a look at a day in the life of beloved judges Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba, and be treated to a special dance-off between Maksim Chmerkovsky and his brother, Val.
